A Decade of Impact: Celebrating 10 Years of the CCDE

Celebrating a Decade of Dialogue, Research & Equity

Ten years ago, the Center for Communication, Difference, and Equity (CCDE) emerged from a vision to create a space where courageous conversations could thrive and where students, faculty, staff, and community members could come together to confront pressing social issues of our time and foster a more equitable world. Founded in 2015 by Professor Ralina Joseph, the CCDE is rooted in the belief that transformative change begins with dialogue and is sustained through collaboration, research, and action.

Today, the CCDE is a nationally recognized hub for critical inquiry and community-centered scholarship. Our work amplifies historically excluded voices, interrogates systems of power, and helps build institutions that reflect the values of inclusion and equity. Our impact continues to ripple outward from classrooms to community spaces, thanks to our dedicated community of supporters, students, and visionary leaders.

This newsletter highlights all we have achieved together over the past decade and encourages you to reflect on all we can create and champion in the next decade.
